Idea
My idea has two parts, the first is a tournament where 8 people will compete on halo, i have a bracket system figured out for it all. it will be filmed from three cameras, all Panasonic's as explained below. I will have my final be mostly cuts between different players and what they are seeing or have a close up on each of them on their side of the screen. There will also be a green screen behind them with nice pictures from halo reach that will get more intense and violent as the games go on like in the actual game. the first games will have the same background but as we go up a bracket it will change, these are the backgrounds i will use.  or the players will be just put over the corners of the footage without any background.

For the second part of my video there will be a few hide and seek games, these will have a different set up that i have explained below. This will only have the characters doing something interesting on screen, it will swap between the two different outputs to make sure the audience is always seeing something new as it will keep them interested and watching. The games will have two people chosen randomly out of a hat searching for four people that will be hiding around a map and when they are found they are killed. i need to find out how to set this up on the xbox and make sure i can film both sreens at the same time in the studio.

How I can do the set up
I have asked springboard and looked in to it and finally figured out my my set up for the first half of my video, it will be an xbox with a hdmi lead connected to a splitter so i can record all of the output from the xbox while the players can see it. One side will go to be recorded and the other will be attached to the screen both fighters will use.
For my lighting I will have a light set up to be a back light and give everyone some sort of definition from the green screen while also having the studio lights on, the lights will be white and not a blinding brightness as i don't want the players to look strange when i do the green screen.
As for the cameras, for this set up where will be three cameras. One in the middle with a wide shot and two at the sides for close ups so i can see every reaction from the players..
Each player will have a mic attached to the cameras to get their audio so i can hear all of the things their saying and joking about, although halo can be an irritating game and may cause people to get mad and swear in this case i am going to see if i can keep it or if i will have to bleep it.
I want people to be in focus properly so every camera i'm using will be a Panasonic camera.
This is a simple diagram for my first set up.

This is the way I am setting up my competition, I will pull names from a hat when it comes to the day to see who is battling who, although I might fix some as holly and caitlin are about the same skill level so it would be fair for them to play together giving them a chance to progress. What will happen is two vs two then the winners battle then again until we have a winner, the winner will be given a (small) bag of haribos.
the people participating are-
Alex
Tom
Caitlin
Holly
Nate
Harry
Alice(me)
Locren
When filming I will have to find a day harry can come out of class and join and Loren can come to Lynn and join. this won't be as hard as in other projects to organize as most people will all be coming from my class so I know when they are free.

Hide and seek set up

Music

for the music i will have some upbeat music quietly playing in the background or some lofi mix as it is music that is good to go behind things while being unnoticeable but it also keeps people interested.

contraints and limitations

I have some problems that i don't know how i am going to film everyone playing the hide and seek properly, this is an issue that could effect my entire project and how it turns out but i am figuring it out and trying different techniques until i find out what works the best.

A limitation is that i need to get 8 people together in a room at the same time to film and have them listen to me, luckily for me 6 of the people are in the same class meaning i know when they can film and are easy to contact but the other two i will have to book the studio in accordance to them. For when people stop listing to me and start messing around i am going to have a packet of sweets and start giving them to people who are doing what i ask, if it gets out of control i know that one of the players will always help to get everyone to listen.

Characteristics and context and how it effects my planning

im using these shot types because they are commonly used in multi camera shots and I am following the conventions and characteristics of a multi camera shoot in a studio.

I unidentified ... as a characteristic or context of a multi camera shoot. This means that I will use this technique by..... and this helps me because of .....

When looking in to characteristics and contexts of multi camera shoots i identified that a characteristic is to use time codes to sync up all of the cameras so they can film together nicely and i can edit it together quicker and easier saving time and making the final product look a lot more professional. This has changed how i was planning to do my shoot as now i know i will need people all together so i can sync up the cameras and all of the time codes will be the same but I will use the actual time of the day as my time code so it is easier to film and connect the clips together, a positive thing about this is that the cameras don't need to have the record button clicked at the same time they can just sync from the time they were recorded.

A context i identified to be a normal context for multi camera shoots is having multiple cameras, this is an obvious, it's in the name, but to really think about why they are used and how much this technique helps a shoot and change the entire style of a show. For example i knew someone that was in an episode of 'Come Dine With Me' and they said that as there was very few cameras that if you said something funny and they didn't capture they would make you re do it and the whole circumstances around it. I think that could be really quite troublesome and would be irritating to the cast and crew so in the end it could really change how the episode looks and how annoyed all of the cast feel. I will be using multi cameras not just because i have to but because it to me is the best way to film my idea and have it look professional, I am very excited to film this as I am excited to use the black magic cameras and edit with them properly as they are some of the best cameras i think the college has and i really enjoy them.

Overall looking in to the characteristics and context of multi camera shoots has really helped me to see how to professionally create my final product. I think this research will affect my entire work and help it to run smoothly and appreciate the little details in how to make it look as good as i can.
